*** Congratulations UConn Huskies for Winning the 2011 NCAA Tournament *** Ever since paying attention to the NCAA tournament or "March Madness" since my days at Michigan State, there has always been a Cinderella story. Usually not in my school's favor. I was hoping that this year Michigan State would make it back to the Final Four much like they did last year (losing to Butler) and then in Detroit two years ago (losing to North Carolina in the finals). But no, they exited in the first round.
So what did I do? I hoped for a Cinderella story and I got two. My bracket was completely gone after the second round. I did not pick Butler or UConn to make it very far. So much respect to both teams for making it to the final game without too much faith from me - your Chicago Big Hot Dog vendor.

2011-04-05 14:45:48 *** 2011 MLB SEASON BEGINS!!! *** Spring is in the air and America's oldest game starts off another season. Can you feel the excitement? I know in Chicago, Cubs' fans were already making their way to Wrigley Field on my way into the office. Grinning from ear to ear because they were either extremely excited or they poured beer into their Cheerios this morning.
It doesn't matter if you are a fan or not, Baseball is part of America's history. Even non-fans like going to actual games because the sites and sounds (and smells) of baseball is quite like nothing else. It gives us an excuse to cheer for something, to share a hate towards another team, and a chance to partake in what is seemingly the largest Beer Garden in your town. So sit back! Relax and take in a game with a beer and your favorite ball park frank - I hope for your team's sake that my Detroit Tigers doesn't embarrass them this season. Detroit Faithful - Duane Kim Baldwin

As I look at the pictures/video of destruction in Japaneses cities and towns, I read about radiation leaks from nuclear power plants and I see train cars turned on their end. I can only think...damn you GODZILLA! Dan Abbate
